Moving your production to another country requires time and effort, as it is not only about the physical move. A system that monitors, tracks, documents, and controls the process of manufacturing goods from raw materials to finished products must contribute to overall productivity and profitability by making the manufacturing process information driven.

Our partner Orkla Confectionary & Snacks has decided to build a new factory in Riga, consolidating production from two existing factories in Gothenburg, Sweden and Riga, Latvia. Our task is to set up a full SAP solution for the new factory using the template from Gøteborgs kex. From the GO LIVE before summer 2022, it will take about one year to move all the production lines to the new factory in Riga, also serving some of the Baltic countries. Collaborating with Orkla IT department, S5 have delivered expertise within the supply chain/warehouse, integration to the MES system and Neptune FIORI mobile solution in the warehouse.
