A team consisting of Disruptive Technologies, S5 Consulting and SAP delivered the best solution under SAP Innovation Forum Nordics, 2018 (Copenhagen). The solution was made for Trygfonden.
The reason for the solution was a new type of rescue ladder with a unique design and some innovative features: Integrated solar panel with energy-saving steering, specially designed, smooth steps and rubber resistant to saltwater exposure and robust to mechanical stresses from ice and collision. After thorough testing of the rescue ladder, several ladders have been installed in ports all over Denmark.
The solution presented was based on the use of smart technology such as sensors, ship platforms, including Augmented Reality and IoT, to further improve the solution to help save lives.
